I'll echo Polar Pilot's remarks. While parked at a classic car show this summer, I watched from a distance as a guy examined my bike and explained to his girl friend how the Savage evoked the classic cruisers and thumpers from the 60's. It is constantly a conversation starter wherever I go. Nobody waits for me from a standing start, and I'm still fairly inexperienced. If most of my riding was high speed, long distance cruising, especially 2 up, I'd consider a larger bike. Some of that comment is probably also due to my relative inexperience. For around the neighborhood, to work and on medium length joy rides, this bike has been perfect.
